LinkUp delivers data through Snowflake, Azure, Amazon S3, and Google Cloud Provider. This article explains what details we need from you to set up your delivery and how to open a ticket to request the delivery method.

Collect Destination Specific Information

Depending on which delivery option you would like to use, LinkUp will need details from you to authorize you to collect the data. See below for what information we need from you to set you up.

Snowflake

Snowflake: is a data platform that runs in the cloud. Snowflake enables you to work with our data directly without having to download individual files or manage your own databases. We share data with your snowflake environment using a “share”.

When we create the share, it appears on the snowflake main interface under Data -> Private Sharing. Once the share is visible under private sharing, all you need to do is select “get data” on the share, and name the new database being created.

Here's what LinkUp Support needs to set you up with Snowflake:

  1. Your cloud provider for Snowflake (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

  2. The region you store data in (example: AWS us-east-1)

  3. Snowflake Organization Name

  4. Snowflake Account ID

Azure

Azure is a cloud service provider. Azure Blob Storage is a cloud storage solution that can be utilized to download and store LinkUp files. We share data with an Azure Storage Container that you are given access to. You can pull files from this storage container and work with them however you need.

There are several options for delivery in Azure:

  1. Service Principal: We provide a  “Service Principal” to grant access to the container. Service Principals expire after 3 years and must be renewed by contacting Linkup support.

    or

  2. Application ID: Managed application delivery type, allows you to have more control over the service principal and renew it without contacting Linkup support. Linkup must be provided with an Application ID to complete the setup of the share using this method.

Amazon S3

AWS S3 is a cloud storage solution that can be utilized to download and store LinkUp data. We share data to a bucket we create in the region of your choice.

Here's what we need to set you up with S3 delivery:

  1. AWS Region (example: AWS us-east-1)

  2. AWS User, Role, or Root ARN (example: arn:aws:iam::012345655851:user/exampleuser)

Google Cloud Provider

Google Cloud Storage can be used to download, and store LinkUp files with Google. We share data to a bucket that we grant access to in the region of your choice.

Here's what we need to set you up with GCP data delivery:

  1. Google Cloud Email
  2. Google Account Type (Google Account, Google Group, Service Account)
  3. Google Cloud Region
